license plate lights
license plate lights
i was wondering if someone could tell me how to change my license plate bulbs.. i ordered some LED ones off of ebay, but im rather retarded as to how to actually change them. thanks in advance!
there are two screw that is holding the license plate light in place. unscrew those. once you do that twist the top part of it off and you will see the bulb. just pull that out and replace it with your led.

how do you mean cleaner? color wise?
Im looking at some really small units that also serve as the lic plate bolts for my bike
(custom taillight install/modification, 01 R1 LED taillights on 86 Shadow 1100~)
Wondering how much output- do I need 1 or 2

I have these, with one, they are really quite bright and the light output is even.
Much brighter than my stock lic bulb.
I also sealed the drain hole on the lic plate bulb cover and coated the bulb in waterproof clear glue to avoid shorting in my wet climate.
got 10 for 1$ shipped off ebay.
look great in the doors too.
Also put some in my friends altima, witch the bulbs actually go in sideways (perpendicular to the plate), but they still throw out plenty of light.
They're just small LED's and they replace the stock bulb.
It's mostly for looks. They have a bluish 6k color temperature. It looks nice lit up at night.

I had a lot of these fail until I bought from vleds.com. I've had there's for over a year with no problems. It seems much better built than all the others I bought online.
