Does anyone know where I could find a front license plate bracket for my 02 TL?

Those are frames, not brackets.

I don't think the stealing comment was sincere.

I just called Dave Mungenast Acura in St. Louis and they wanted $68.72 for the damn bracket and bolts! I had the parts guy read me the part # and it was the same one I can get for $9-something elsewhere.

BTW, does anyone happen to know the right thread/pitch the bolt needs to be to screw into the existing mounting holes? I'm just going to get some L brackets and use the exisiting holes.

The front licence plate is the most useless thing on a car. I hate them. I live in NY where it's required and I haven't had one on any of my cars since I started driving 10 years ago.

I have gotten a few tickets, but I just plead not guilty, and since it's such a BS ticket the cops never show up to fight, so it's a nice day off from work =)

so i guess the option of taking them off the next TL you see is sounding like a good idea.....seeing as the dealer wants to steal your money take one off a car at the dealer.........

What about the local auto recycler yard - formerly the junkyard

Would think you could have it for a few dollars, if you go in knowing what the new price is
Snag the bolts and all with it!

flip the license plate bracket over so it sits below the bumper. all you need is a heat gun and it looks better than over the bumper doesnt break any laws. all you need is a heat gun and a razor blade or dremel tool.

I hate front plates, but I also hate getting stopped by a Sheriff's car just down the road from my son's daycare. I figured they wouldn't pull you over for just that, but I was wrong. No ticket, but I don't need that stress. I went to the hardware store and bought two L brackets, bolts, washers and nuts. I'm just glad I read on here about the holes under the bumper and didn't drill any of my own.
