K&N vs Fram AirHog?

Any thoughts from anybody on the K&N vs. the Fram AirHog? I tried a search and didn't see anything on it. Anybody tired the Fram AirHog?

i know that its not much without the article, but i did read somewhere (backed with test results) the the FRAM product line for oil and air filters were the WORST out there... with this in mind and K&Ns reputation, id say K&N all the way

i've been putting the airhog filters in my girlfriend's eclipse. they're not bad, but they're disposable, unlike the k&n's, and i'm sure they don't pass as much air. i would just stick with k&n.

Hey Guys,

Very new to this - recently purchases a used TL, 2000.

Couple questions regarding K&N and Cold Air. Was told that Cold Air will also help increase milage if driven properly - Is that true...also, is it just worth it to go with K&N instead of a Cold Air Intake - I'm not into driving really fast, just like to know that I can boot it on the freeway if needed.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

the big thing about a CAI is the sound (besides the performance). if you want bigger sound get the CAI. and yes you will get better gas mileage due to the performance gain, just don't expect a 2mpg jump or anything like that.

if you don't want to spend the cash on a good CAI or don't so much care about the performance gain then go with the k&n as a minimum because it's still better than a stock filter

Hey SSTS,

Thanks for getting back to me - I have made a decision to go with the CAI. Now it is a matter of doing research and coming up with a product that is best suited for the TL.

If you have any suggestions on which one I should look at, I welcome it.

Cheers,

FooF
