K&N high air flow filter

Has anyone here purchase those K&N reusable air filters for like $50. is it worth the money or should i just go for a AEM cold air intake. i heard very good things about K&N.

i've had my k&n for about ~18k miles now, and it doesn't really look that dirty. what's the cleaning 'schedule' for these air filters? & when you say oil it, do you have to use specific K&N oil to do this?

Yes, buy a K&N cleaning kit. It comes with the filter cleaner and oil.

ok. that seems simple enough. about how often, on average, do you need to be doing this for these filters?

Just get one of these...less maintenance.

Of course you won't get a cool K&N sticker to put on your car.

Just replaced original with K&N. Performance is enhanced...seems like a no brainer to go this way.

it doesnt do much for performance wise but it helps gas mileage i think the comptech drop in is alot better because its foam and breathes more freely than filter element
