Just got a TL
Just got a TL
I finnally saved up enough money to get a car and i got a 2003 Acura TL. I was wondering if someone can tell me what I can do to it for better performence and where to get everything. Im new to this and willing to learn. Its not a type-s but I would like to get it to perform even better. Oh and this is a little off topic but I just got the car about 2 weeks ago and my headlights already got stolen I couldn't find a garage in time but I have one now if anyone knows were to get the headlights for cheaper I would appreciate it.
best bet is go thru insurance, its gonna cost a pretty penny to do it yourself, can search on ebay for used headlights if you want to try that way, but was there any damage to any other parts of the car, fenders or hood.?

yea the right side of hood was damaged and both side fenders. Are they 160 each? i thought they were much more lik 900 not AS bad as I thought but still thats money I could of used to help the performence of my car.
Can you guys tell me what I can buy or do to my car to help its performence? I found a bodykit for 900 that looks nice but first I want to get it to perform better and faster.

Intake- Go for Injen, Comptech, or AEM. There all give you about 10 whp. The comptech sounds like stock, while the AEM V2 is the loudest.
Header- Gives you around 20 whp. Comptech makes a nice one, but cost aroun 1k. DC just came out with new headers for our car, if I remember correctly, they go for around $300.
Exhaust- Lots of brands out there, minimal power gains. Apexi, HKS, and Comptech makes exhausts for our car. Comptech is the quietest, but they only make an axleback for our car.
UR Crank pulley- Around 10whp, you should find one for about $200.
Thermobloc spacer- Around $100, you should save about 5 whp when the car is fully warmed up.
Grounding systems- Alot of benefits to your electrical systems, and you should gain some power. Lots of companies make them.

Injen and AEM also look aftermarket where as the CT looks stock.
Neuspeed and a custom Magnaflow set ups are other options.
Don't waste your money on the unichip.
