i have the comptech cat-back with comptech headers and I couldnt ask for a better tone..not too loud and get compliments from everyone..

 

is the tanabe a catback or axle back

 

what is the closest thing to comptech axleback. similar tone and volume.

 

I agree, the apexi WSII is the best, this is the thread with my car and the clips of the exhaust before the headers and pulley. The clips and pictures are on page 3 and 4.

hmm thats tough to say, its your own opinion, i had the comptech axlebacks, then i got the apexi ws2, the ws2 is louder, but still a good note. I got rid of the axlebacks cuz they werent quite loud enough for my taste. If your thinkn bout the comptechs think again, cuz most of the catbacks are around the same price as the axlebacks

 

Whats the difference between axleback and cat-back??

 

axle back is just the 2 muffler with the piping to the Y pipe..(part of the catback) catback is the complete exaust.. bpipe (part from the catalytic converter to the y pipe) and include the muffler..(axle back)
