Which intake did you pick??

Like the title says, curious as to which intake everyone has. Is there much difference between the choices for cold air intake?

Ditto -- I am a noob but just picked up a 03 Type-S and would like to perform a cold intake swap also. Any info on velocity stacks vs. standard setup would be great too!

If you have a TL-P, get a AEM V2 CAI. It is the best intake without question.

If you have a TL-S, just get any CAI. Doesn't matter too much. AEM V2 won't fit.

V2 on an S, had the 2 piece AEM and this one is better for sure

you can cut it down and add the vacuum into the connector if you have a good one

Just ordered the AEM V2 for 260 shipped. Auto anything has a 25 dollar off coupon anything over 199 and 50 off a total of 399 I believe plus free ship.

I looked and couldn't find any on there right now and eBay was way expensive. I'm painting it anyways so I wish I could have gotten it used.

majority here likes either aem or injen. i went with injen on my '03 tl-s, didn't regret it all. no problems unlike aem with their brackets breaking off.

and no, don't buy ebay crap.

I'm guessing I'll have to cut the intake if I'd like to add the throttle body spacer as well?

Great. U made my day. I didn't want to have to explain bringing my intake into work to chop it lol. Bad enough I plan to make my muffler delete pipe there.

I guess I'm the exception. I have the Comptech Icebox. Put it in almost 6 years ago, no issues. Sounds great. I switch between the stock foam filter and a K&N every oil change.

Not C.A.R.B. certified.
Filter is low quality.
Fitment is questionable.

But for 50 bucks i'd say its worth it, just throw the filter away and stick on a k&n.

I don't think there is one available. My vote goes towards the Comptech Icebox. Definitely worth it if you're looking for a more stock look, great sound and some real (albeit minor) power gains.

Would adding that k&n filter make that c.a.r.b certified?

Just save your money for a good intake. You will regret cheaping out on it. TL is not a cheap car to own.

CT Icebox is the way to go. No worries about hydrolocking, good flow, all around win.
