I need help
I have an 03 CL-S 6-speed, I know im on the TL forums but nobody is ever in the CL forum and I figured the TL-S is basically the same thing. Anyway I have comptech I/H/mufflers. I just got my P2R test pipe today. So after installing it I thought that I would reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery. After I reconnected the battery terminals I started my car and off I went. I noticed my radio needed a code............so I put the code in that came with the car and it doesnt work. Why would it come in my ACURA booklet and not work? Second, my driver side window has a one touch auto up and down, well that stopped working. And when I put the key on position II the battery, oil, and engine light come on like they're supposed to but then after 15 seconds the engine light flashs 5 times then turns off. I read the manual and it basically said after disconnecting the battery it takes a couple of days for the car to go back to normal again. Why? After driving the car for a half hour all of a sudden my driver side window one touch up and down started working again. Does anyone know what is going on? And do I have to contact Acura about my non working radio code?
Give it a couple of days to "re-learn" your driving habits. It's what the ECU does, because you reset it, by disconnecting the battery.
Your auto-up/down window also has to be re-learned. You probably did that by accident.
You hold it all the way down, until the window is fully down, and keep holding for a few second. Same thing for up. (For future ref)
You can get the radio code from your dealer. I think they need proof of ownership or something like that.
There was a trick where you hold 1 and 6 and turn it on. It shows a code that you give to the dealer and they can retrieve your radio code. This you can do over the phone.
May want to search that radio code trick. I'm going by what I remember.

Oh, one more thing I forgot, now when I rev it up just slightly the rpms when falling down almost make my car stall. They drop to about 4-500 rpms then slowly go back to 8-900. But I hope thats all about the car re-learning again.
figured I would revive this old thread just in case anybody else had this same problem and were just living with it.... takes 10 seconds to fix!!!!
Thanks haNDYcaptd
Because you need to give the ECU time to relearn, windows you have to reset by simply rolling all the way down and hold the switch when they get to the bottom for a little bit, then do the same thing going up. Radio, many have had the issue. You need to disconnect the antenna from the HU and enter the code, once imputed and it works plug the antenna back in.
Also next time pull the clock backup fuse to reset the ECU, you wont have to go thru all the reprograming

Thank you haNDYcaptd for your expertise...if you're still around.... for the past few days my auto up/down was not working on my driver window... probably due to all the snow and ice that we have been getting recently freezing the window closed... i searched and found this OLD thread and it was spot on... I went outside and held down the button until the window opened all the way and kept holding it down for 5 seconds... then I held it up until it closed all the way and kept holding it for another 5 seconds.... and taadaa... auto up/down is working again

a little winter tip:
LUBE the doors main rubber seal with silicone spray- spray and wipe in well with rag
lube door hinges and locks- anything you can reach- lube
clean and WAX/QD quick detailer spray works too,
the `door sill` where the door rubber seal will contact it--at your feet as you enter and the upper window frame part that contacts the car--make it slick
spray silicone down inside the window tracks and top edge seal, roll glass up and down a few times
Silicone and wax to the trunk rubber and metal and the hood seals too
a little on the sunroof seal never hurt~ amazing how dirty it gets up there
Now your door will glide open--- while other cars battle the ice
