Headlights: 6000K or 8000k

I'm about to order new bulbs for my headlights, do you recommend 6000k or 8000k bulbs? Does anyone have pictures of their car with these bulbs?

It is strongly recommended that you get 4300k or 5000k at the most, going any higher and you loose lumen and light becomes less usable because of the color. 8000k is purple/blue and it does not look as classy in the TL's

here's mine

8000k D2S low beams 3000k fog lights--i'm sure the D2S glares more than D2R too

glare is high because my iphone 4 sucks at night shots
ALSO--this was before i removed amber lens, added lip kit,

4300K ideally, anything above that is just colour and not usable light. 6000K at the absolute most.

I hear DDM Tuning is reputable.

Like it was mentioned above 4300K through 6000K is your ideal range. After 6K you loose light and it is more for looks also some states will pull you for it. Attached is my car with 6K headlights and HID conversion 3K fogs. The fogs kind of kill the headlights but the picture I have is actually for the fog's anyway.Headlights: 6000K or 8000k-24111_1380024978279_4897049_n.jpg

I forgot to mention Top speed labs sells plug and play HID kits. If you are just looking for bulbs though mine came from ebay and I have had no issues.

Remember it depends on the wattage of ballast you get too.

I have 55w 6k.

If you want to use your headlights for what they are intended for (being able to see at night) dont go above 5k. Any thing higher than that and you start to loose useable light and when weather gets bad its worse. Also remember BLUE isnt cool and doesnt help you see.

I like 6k they are a little bit blue when you look at the car, but white on the road. i bought a set of bulbs from an Amazon saler maxlux, they've been good had for about 8 months no issues. At first they looked more like 8k...(more blue)...after a few days they were spot on 6k and have stayed that way since...

They were $30 for top, $35 for fogs, shipped not bad for the price

K has nothing to do with the voltage/watt. Stock is 12v 35w.
