header install?

For the money and power I think I will be going with the XS Power headers from ebay. The question I had was what do you think it would be price wise to get them installed from a muffler shop or something like that? Or is it even that hard where i need to get it installed at a shop.

hey fsttyms1, i have a slightly on/off topic question. to get to the rear exhaust manifold or if you wanted to change the plugs does putting the auto trans in gear force the engine to roll forward so they're easier to get to? i know this worked on my fords and chevy's but i've never actually checked on this car. thanks.

No. the TLs mount system is much divverent than that of GMor Ford (side note i remember doing that in the past on GM cars) On the TL there is alot of romm behind the motor. There is enough room to get your hand between (If you want alot more you could remove the strut brace) but not necessary

Dang ! Two hours job DIY? That is very quick. I have a DC header sitting in my garage as well waiting to be installed.
How much does a muffler shop usually charge for the installation anyway? If the price is reasoable, I will just let them do the work.

If 150 is the average then my guess is around $200 in California. Pricing here is always higher.

Thanks.

That's what I said too, maybe because when I wanted to get them installed it was in 04 and the car is an 03 they were asking close to 400 bucks. I just got a friend over and it took us a while (Had to do a few runs to the local hardware store for tools) but 3.5 hours later we were on the street... if you do it yourself make sure you have a friend over to help.
