Exclamation head swap

i know the first thing you guys are going to say so DONT i have already done the seach and have read all the threads about doing this swap ,, So here the question i am planning on doing a full type S head swap onto my tlp with the im, heads and the vsa tb now the questions is this for what i have read is the type s ecu you not work with the tlp but my tl is a 00 and do you think is worth to use a safcll or a neo the question is i was wondering using the ecu because it does rasie the rev limit to the 6900 verse the 6600 the tlp has and i'm also getting the type S pisions so help me here please

might be cheaper and more beneficial to do whole engine swap

If you are changing out pistons and the heads anyways...throw the 3.5 crank into the A 1 block.

You could use the NEO for now or just wait until something comes out.

like a real hacked and chipped ecu

can i use the type S ecu ? i guess i would have to use the harness from the type S too huh and to add to the comments i am getting the type S parts from a good friend at a junk yard

Honestly i wouldnt waste my time doing what you are planing. You dont just throw in the pistons, you have (if you want it done right) to have the cyls honed for the new pistons. You should look for a used low mileage type-s motor(it will cost less than all those parts separately) and be done. If you plan on doing what you are talking about buy the 3.5 crank, and RL pistons and turn it into a stroker. You will see far better results than what you have planned. You CANT use the VSA tb. You dont have all the electronics in the car for VSA. A neo or any other unit like that WONT raise your redline.

look i am getting the whole type S head and IM for like 400 that is why i am asking you guys if i can run the type S ecu with the whole type S top end

nto to mention the labor for a head swap will cost u craploads. u will need gaskets and seals too.. not worth it. dc322somethin somthing did his tl-p to s swap. u should hit him up

yea i'm changing the plans you guys talk me into it i found a nice little nest egg should i say and i will be swaping it soon i just need to find the ecu and cluster probly get all that on ebay tl-p goin to be a tl-s sweet huh

But you should have a machine shop hone the cyls
