as a matter of fact, my TL did have 4300k bulbs.. it actually had functionality.. unlike yours.

i don't rely on my headlight bulbs to bring coolness to my cars.. i leave the safety equipment alone and focus on real, quality visual upgrades... not high school ricer "wow factor" blue bulbs.


not sure where you were going with the bike comment? but if you'd like to know more about them i'd be happy to dump more helpful knowledge... but by the intensity of your headlight bulbs.. i can guess that nothing anyone suggest will sink in...

As far as your "quality visual upgrades", be more original than just throwing some wheels on a car and dropping it with what I am sure are just springs. I bet your ride "quality" is impeccable. You probably have no tire wear problems either right? I guess all that goes along with clear corners and universal rims.

And once you finally get to the high school level on one of your "prizes", let someone that knows so they can teach you what tuning is really about. You will be thrilled when you finally build something instead of just bolting shit on. FiftyFive at least had some useful info, " I had . . . " unlike yourself.

but anyways to answer your question for the 100th time, when you're driving in the "mile high" and you have to look out for some ridiculous bear or deer or whatever the fuck runs around the mountainside of colorado, 8k and high will most definitely let you see them...when you're about 10 feet away from it.

its akin to having a flood light, yeah it fills up the area with light, but the only usable light it directly in front of you.

i have 6k on mine and they are plenty blue without any issues. in my professional opinion, i'd advise you to do the same

No more than 6k. Any more it's just for looks and you lose a lot of light after that.

 

i put 12k hids on my 00 tl and it wasnt too blue..dispite snow, rain or anything they were a good you could see everything and you still had the color tint to them

 

i got 6000k in the headlights and 8000k in the fogs and i love them, it looks white with only a bit blue (not too much tho)

but its your car do what you want too, were jus trying to help. your not going to see the road with those lights

 

I have to call There is a good amount of loss of visibility in rain with lights higher than 6k, especially 12. I noticed the difference with 6k over the stock.

 

When I first had my HID's I had 8k for years. They had great visibility. I now have 6K and there isn't much difference in the visibility part but less blue for sure. I wouldn't ever go over 8k. I am interested in putting 3k yellows in my fogs though!

i have 6K headlights and 10K fogs on my car....and there was a little loss of visibility....then i did something different to my headlight and i lost a little more visibility....but my headlights are a little different than anyone else one here
