Thumbs up Gutter Guard Mesh mod

Allright everyone, I just finished the Mesh grill mod on my 99 TL and it was a little harder than I anticipated. Here's the link I used to get started..

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...highlight=mesh

After getting paint and the mesh from Home Depot, I couldn't wait to get started. Turns out everything was just as subtledreamer had mentioned but I found it hard to get the mesh to 'bend' and fit well because of the A portion of the black frame. It stuck out so far it was hard to get the mesh to stay in place during re-assembly. I finished it late tonight and may end up redoing it later. Overall I love the look and a big thanks to subtledreamer for the directions but if anyone is looking to do it WEAR GLOVES while cutting the gutter guard. My fingers are tore up! heh...

Here are some pics I took this morning. It was overcast and she's a little dirty from the rain yesterday.

That is nice! So it looks like you cut out a section around the 'A' to the mesh would lay flat then placed another piece of mesh under the A? I may have to try that one out. What did you use to cut the mesh with?

I used tin snips, but side cutters would work too..

The odd thing is the hole that is cut around the "A" badge is actually an oval due to the black plastic the baged mounts on. I had cut a perfect circle but I had to keep triming it to get it to lay flat for the wings to come in. I also had to cut out a couple of notches in the mesh for mounting the wing.

It's really not that hard, just sit down in front of the TV and start trimming away.. it won't take long at all.

Exclamation Trimming And Getting Mesh To Fit Is Hard!! Need Help??

I went to lowes and got the gutter guard mesh. Its only like 5 inches wide which sucks. No room for error really for the bottom and top part of the cut. Anyways, do i need to cut around the A symbol area to make it lay flat? IDK, please explain this process step by step. Got one piece of mesh left. I aint buyin more. ??????????
