Ground control with the Eibach springs

Has anyone bought these to drop their car, the cheaper alternative to coils? I need to know if there were any big problems or damage to the shocks before I think about buying them. Can the oem shocks handle this system?

the oem shocks can handle it but after a couple months they'll blow out. just get some aftermarket shocks while you're putting in the ground controls. you wouldn't want to do the same job twice.

I'm actually looking into koni shocks + gc coilover combos. It's generally cheaper than tein SS. Anyone have experiences with it?

^that

i was considering ground controls too but the price of those + decent shocks that can handle the drop = F&F Type 1. but i decided to go with eibach + kyb gr2 because coilovers tend to seize up with road salt.

^ they seize up if you don't take care of them....

i still spray mine and clean mine once in awhile even tho i don't even drive my car...

btw... these days, coilovers come with a new black coating on the threads to help prevent rusting from road salt.

like my BC racing coils!
