whats the differents between axle-back and catback?

 

Axle backs are just the mufflers only and catbacks are an exhaust system which extends from the back of the catalytic converter(cat) to the rear of the car. Hence the name "cat back".

Go catback if you want performance, but if you're just looking for a bit more sound and something shiney under your bumper, go axle backs.

 

Axle-back is everything behind the rear axle and cat-back is everything behind the cat. Learned that from a member on here and thought oh hey that makes sense.

you won't really get much performance out of a catback or axleback on our type of cars. honda did a good job on making our oem exhaust as free flowing as can be. perhaps just a few more hp but nothing to a big extent.

even tho the numbers were rather sorry.. haha
