ATLP is the best, but it's also the most expensive.

If your looking for HP, start somewhere else. Headers are the best bang for the buck. Catbacks will only give ~10hp on stock cars.

Atlp is the best dual exhaust and in my opinion, the greddy evo 2 is the best single exhaust...
Our cars are not the best sounding with aftermarket exhaust, but there is a couple that give good performance and sound good as well....gl on your search

So heeltoe is the only place to grab one of those exhaust systems and the price i saw was 995. For a catback that is high.

Yes, that is the only place. If you want QUALITY you have to pay. For what you get its worth the money.

Yea, I would consider other options if budget is a concern. Stalking the BM for an CT axleback would be cheaper, and still give a good product. Just do a custom piping from the cat to the axleback, and you'll save a lot of money.

I wonder why I've yet to see an ATLP on the BM. I see CT catbacks, but never an ATLP.

You dont see them because they are still making the first batch. People cant sell what they dont have. If you are referring to the 3g tl or other models then I have seen atlp products for those for sale.

I think your a little misinformed. ATLP handed over production to HeelToe, and the first batch from them is now being made.

However, ATLP exhausts for the TL have been in production for a long while now.

Talking

SO i think i'm gonna go custom from catback. Any tips/advice/suggestions? If there is a general DIY on the site that anyone knows of, I'd greatly appreciate someone pointing out the way to the thread.

That's not something you could really DIY. Just find a good muffler shop, and ask them. Choice of mufflers is up to you. Just enlarge the piping size, and you should be good.

Thanks for the direction! I have welder/torch/and am in the process of buying the pipe (cousin has a degree in metallurgy so he'll help with what type of steel/aluminum to go with there, and hopefully hook me up with a discount) but as far as diameter goes....recommendations? 2.25" or 2.5" or 3"? Will going to the three inch cause me to have to worry about scavenging and/or backpressure issues?

Also, the mid-muffler delte should be simple right? just cut out and weld pipe in open spot. I'm also planning on doing the rear muffler delete. Street legal?
