Engine Motor mounts????Need some advice?

Hey guys.

I was wondering is the 98-02 Accord V6 mounts the same as our TL motor mounts?? reason being is Innovative mounts have a custom Replacement motor mounts for the front and the rear for the V6 models. So if it would fit then it would help solve the motor mount ripping issues. i just had to replace mines but these are made from poly bushings so it will not rip. but it might sacrifice some comfort issues. what do you think?? are these mounts the same??

They dont look the same on the website as far as what ours look but it might fit??

This is the Link:http://www.innovativemounts.com/Show...x?prodid=10250 looks like it would fit since our mounts are similar the way they mount.

Whats your take??

stick with the OE- they work fine- just not forever!
Poly bushings will ruin your back and the car with its stiffness

well, $300 seems to be alot of money, althought it looks like it may fit. it should if it's for an '02 AV6. if you really want stiffer bushings just fill your front mount with poly from home depot. that's what i had done. i couldn't tell much of a difference though.

the stock mount isn't that hard to remove. takes maybe 2 hours if you have the right tools on hand. i'm sure people have done it in 30min to an hour before. at 110k miles i've only had to change my front motor mount once. if i get my trans replaced soon i may pay to have the rear done since it will be more convenient.

I think they would be a great investment. it will get rid of the mounts that always tear and looks a whole lot better. I mean you dont have to get the full race poly bushings. they do make the street version which is not so harsh. So hmm. i think im thinking about it when my stock mounts start to give out again. i already changed them when the changed my tranny around 5k miles ago. so id say i give it another 40 to 50k so roughly when i have to change my timing belt ill presume my mounts will be ripped again haha.

Early fall or late? If they work I'll be interested.

I think I might try some polyurethane sealant with the OE mount. If that doesn't hold up, I'll have to do something becuase the OE mounts are a weak link.

I guess Honda didn't really think anyone would really get on these cars.

I wonder how they are holding up in stock TLs.

Let us know how they are. Ive seen them mounted up in a AV Accord on .net. But the one that guy had has both front, rear and sides. so these only come with the front and rear. but i guess thats all you need since this will reduce the front to back flex. they are pretty good priced too.

let us know!!!

Wow, I'm a dealer for these guys and had no idea they had these. If anyone wants a set of htese let me know. I can get that price down for AZ members.

Innovative is know for producing high quality polyurethane that really doesn't add vibration to the cockpit. I only use Innovative Mounts for all my Honda engine swaps and my customers love them. Now it's possible that there might a slight increase in vibration but most of my customers don't report anything abnormal.

If anyone needs a set I will do $275 shipped, which will save you about $50 after shipping b/c motor mounts are heavy and cost $ to ship.
