I ordered my dynomax today from summit. I got it for 30 shipped becuase my friends dad orders through them and had a coupon. 2morrow i will go to the muffler shop and have them remove my mid muffler, i might just see how the mid muffler sounds without the dynomax and i might keep it like that depends.

I want to go to infiniti and show the sales men that i could make it sound like a G35 they said yea right there is no way your going to get it to sound like that. Me and those guys are friends so i have to show them up LOL!

Might as well just wait till the dynomax gets shipped in than go to the muffler shop to get everything done in one shot plus you really gotta break the notice in.

That's what I think I will do. After researching numerous youtube vids, I like this sound the best.

Has anyone ever removed the resonator and left the mid-muffler? (reverse of the typical mid-muffler delete)

Ok, I got to ask because I can't seem to find an answer. I only removed my mid muffler and it sounds great at the back end, but unfortunately I get some pretty bad drone coming from the pipe below the car into the cabin at low rpms and between 75-80 mph where I normally cruise on highway. Would this dynomax resonator installed where the mid muffler was help remove the drone while keeping the nice sound out the back? What is the part number for the resonator, I can't find it on summitracing.com

hmm...good idea. So you'd have the stock resonator, then instead of the mid-muffler, you'd have another resonator in place. I would think this would give a deeper tone.

EDIT: I'll probably be a tester for this in the weeks to come.

Ok, I think I located the right part # for this performance resonator, but can someone confirm that the 2nd Gen TL Type S has 2.5" piping. I'm almost positive it does.

This part is $39.95. Can someone confirm that this will remove interior cabin drone but keep a nice sound out the back? From the video, it sounds really nice but does it drone at low RPMs on the inside of the car?

Will you then have 2 resonators installed, or one? If 2, then it will decrease the drone, but it will also quiet down the exhaust. Can't really be too sure on how much it'll quiet it down though...

yeah, thats the problem....guess I can start with adding the dynomax..see how it goes..see if i still get good sound or not out the back. The dynomax may reduce it enough to require removing the other oem resonator to get the sound back but still reduce drone

Or just replace it with a loooong resonator... (cat -> long resonator -> rear mufflers)

Like this one is 14" long (the resonating part) http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

A little more expensive, but magnaflow is good.

Or this 18" one: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I have to know how to do this lol sounds sooo sick... Do you just replace the stock resonator with the dynomax one and remove the mid muffler? OR do you replace the mid muffler with the dynomax and its for a 3g so there would have to be modification Im assuming.

Want to do this until I can save up to get my apexi ws2 exhaust haha
