Paper racers? You better come correct if you want to get a point across. I am going to call BS on your times unless you post a slip.

15.3 is accurate time for the TL-S, it was posted by the magazines, drag time supports it, and my car ran EXACTLY that. Show me a video or a verified time slip of a bone stock TL-S running 14.5 or less, then I will acknowledge your point.

I posted a video of my car doing 0-60, it is exactly mid 6s. So my TL-S runs 100%. Here is my time slip. If you plug numbers into any HP/0-60 calculator, you get 6.5 seconds 0-60 times, and HP number that supports the 240-260 crank HP.

To the main point of this thread, TL should have been a direct competitor to the 5 series. They are in the same size class- E.

Acura used the engine they had, and it was weaker than its competitors- that is it. Just because Acura says "TL is competitor for 3 series", it doesn't make it one. Ford could have said that "Pather cars (Crown Victoria, Grand Marquise) are now E class and they are competing with TL...since they just make 250 HP", come on.

Hey guys i started this thread awhile ago haha but when i got my dyno he said i leaned out around 6k.. so i was thinking maybe, MAYBE a 10% mix of e85 would help me solve that problem.. before i only filled up with 91 at shell.. Im going for another shot this spring on the dyno, i modified my exhaust and cleaned the intake system and put on a tbs.. so i really want to hit 200 fwp.. any input? i made 185 fwp last year

lol calling bs on me coming from the guy showing his slip that lifted his TL and put off road tires on it trying to use it as a comparison as to how all should run. I would post slips but its been over 8 years and those arent exactly something i have kept laying around. There are others that have been high 14s low 15s with the TL-P and MANY with type-s running mid low 14s (not bone stock like you are trying to use as an example, but all NA bolt ons) Use the Search button and look. (oh and im in the 13s now) Also 1/4 mile times have more to do with the driver than the car. I have seen people with automatic corvettes/mustangs etc. run 15s.

Also Engines alone dont make cars "considered" competitors, Size, content, etc do

Once I finish up my last few mods on this engine I need to get to the track and see what I run. I should have the most bolt ons for a tl-p engine so it should be interesting to see what I run. It will also give me a good comparison for when I swap to a 3.5.
