DC or XS
I was wondering guys, i wanted some new headers with good quality, i was reading about the Xs Power headers and im feeling the price. But then theres the DC which im hearing good things about also but its a lil more expensive.
Whats the quality of xs and is the price worth it or should i just go up to the DC headers.
any resonance issues with either and hows the power increase on both? anyone have engine pics with the xs or the dc headers in?
thanks twan

The main issue with the DC is the weak gaskets which can be resolved with liquid gasket maker on to of the DC gaskets or sub them with new metal gaskets. That is the only issue I had with them. I don't know anything about the XS except for something about the bolts.
Power gains should be = to each other.

The XS Power pipe "jog"
I'm not an airflow expert, but my guess is that if you have a 5spd AT, DC is gonna put out a little more HP for you. The only XS Power header available for our cars has a "jog" in one of the pipes to go around the 6spd manual tranny. People say the bend shouldn't affect the airflow that much, but for my money I'd rather have my header pipes as straight as possible. Since you don't need it for the 5spd AT, why have it...? If I had a manual, I'd at least try the XS.

i doubt the bend makes any difference, comptech's use the same headers for all cl's tl's including the 6sp therefore the comptech design has that bend in it, and comptech have the dyno'd results. Like fsttyms1 said these are basicly a copy of the comptech design, hence the bend and therefore you'll probably see just as good of gains as the comptechs, a few CL guys have dynoed these xs headers and compared them to comptech and the numbers are damn close.
