It's TRUE
And you won't have to worry about any fitment issues and the price will be LOW

oh wow! those are freakin lovely.. i wonder why it is so cheap though, compared to the other headers. also wondering if it'll have the resonances that most aftermarket headers do, for our cars.

I had a DC ceramic header on my 97 Prelude, it was the shit. Best mod I put on that car power wise. DC is trustworthy.

Also had the DC exhaust on it too, 5 years never rusted with the stainless steel, and also the DC intake worked just fine till the day I sold the car.

How can you ask that question when it's assumed by reading this thread that NO ONE has DC Sports headers applied to their car yet?

Its about time.

Other than for comptech's, this is the first company making headers for the TL that I'd have confidence in.

i had DC Sports headers on my RSX. and this was back in 2002 (the first year of the RSX). i bought it from the FIRST batch and the fitment was PERFECT! it gave off a nice low drone from 1500-3000 rpms, but it sounded perfect. the gain from those headers were also something i still cant forget. im all over these if a group buy starts. with DC i know you cant go wrong, first batch or not, DC has a reputation and a name with awesome credibility. obviously they would long term test it before they put it out on the market.

I have a question.....Can I have the DC headers without aftermarket exhaust? Will I still get performance gains? Don't have money for both right now but would rather just have headers don't want the exhaust to be loud or anything like that just looking to gain a little extra horse power.......

Comptech never had problems on their first batch or any batch.

You do not need an exhaust with headers... the gains are negligble with an exhaust added.

The fishy thing about these headers are they are CERAMIC. That alone is going to give headaches for some people, even BIGGER headaches to those who live in a region where salt is used (or in the environment) during the winter season. CERAMIC also does not tolerate heat changes over time, meaning, eventually the headers will look like crap.

From DC's site, most of the 3-to-1 headers are available in stainless, brushed stainless and mild steel. The stainless part numbers have an 's' on the end and brushed ones have a 'b'. They might be available in stainless. I'll find out tomorrow.

http://www.dcsports.com/product_headers.asp?subCatID=40

Looks like double the cost for brushed stainless based on these prices:

Later,
Paul

I wonder who's testing the prototype batch of these headers. Someone on here's gotta be hiding these things from us!

What to do..

I've been reading posts for the past few weeks trying to make since between all the different makes and price range of headers available. I was sold on Megan (4th batch) due to price and my budget until I came across this post. Should I hold out for the GB and price difference to get DC Sports instead? I'm itching to get this mod while I have the cash and the boss (wife) doesn't change her mind. heh.

I think the first batch of Comptechs did have a resonance issue which they quickly took care of....I think from what I've read about D.C. I would definetly be down to change out my megans for a set of these headers

I hope Excelerate can work something out, would love to get a set of these. I really can't see the point of shelling out 1k for Comptech Headers and Megans scare me.

Well look at the TSX headers. They only come in ceramic. DCS says they only come in ceramic b/c they don't feel there is enough demand to produce in SS. Now obviously there is demand for a SS header; we all know that. But the price will go up significantly. Also, the ceramic will turn colors, just like the stainless steel do. They will not look so pretty but it's not like a Honda 4cylinder where the header is the first thing you see. However, ceramic headers do have their advantages; for one they keep the heat inside the header better than SS therefore reducing the amount of heat in the engine bay.
