Question DC header questions

My headers have been leaking and i'm wanting to replace them. I just recently picked up some DC sport headers from a local guy, but he didn't have any gaskets for it.

My question is that would i be able to use the factory gaskets for these headers? Here are some pics of them.

It looks kind of rusted, but i'm sure it'll work fine. Better than the one that's currently on my car.

Another question is that can i use 10x30 grade 8 bolts, that i have read on some other header threads, for these headers?

upper mani you can use the stock gaskets. the lower i dont remember, exhaust shops "may" have them. BUT have fun getting the lower 2 bolt flanges to seal properly.

I installed new gaskets by the header collectors, and then I bought crush gaskets for both of the lower flanges. One of them did not seal right and I had to take it to an exhaust shop so they could re-do the gasket seal. My DC headers are working fine in my car now, but you will probably have problems installing the rear one. My friend and I grinded down a little bit of the metal support for the transmission, and before I get flamed it was seriously like 2 millimeters just where the header piping was touching.

The rear didn't bolt up well because they were hitting up next to the transmission support. They didn't have a bend in the collector. If you look at the 6-speed headers you will see what I am talking about.

Look at the left most collector tubing that you have on your rear collector.

Now compare that to bigeshorte45's headers (used his pictures from his for sale thread I hope this is okay.)

A link to his for sale thread too: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...hlight=headers

Look at the collector at the bottom right and do you see the bend that I am talking about?

The way I modified the support allowed me to use the headers that have the straight forward design like yours.

Its because its a 2 bolt, DC after a while upgraded to a 3 bolt to help seal better.

Yea, i never said it cant be, but most of the people that had them had a hard time getting them to seal properly, many went thru many gaskets over the life of them because they kept leaking after some time. That is why they went to the 3 blot design.

I had the 2 bolt and have the new 3 bolt on the way. I tried everything to seal the 2 bolt version, new gaskets WITH gasket goo as well. Still leaked....
