i have a 03 tls and just recently been going on line and looking for things i can do the my tls on my own. i believe on this site i found how 2 change the cabin filter and thank god i did cuz the filter was dark. everyone talks about replacing the resanator, cai, cat, etc are these weekend project that can be done by myself that has some car knowledge or do i have to search out a garage? if it's a d.i.y. is there a thread that has directions and pics? thanks

i always wanted a wing on my tls since i bouht it in 03, but dealer was charging $600 for p/l. one of the threads recomended an ebay vender (started w/ an "E") if i by it thou them would there be a significant difference in color since the wing is brand new and my car is 3 yrs old and the anthercite (gray) has probably faded? and is there a d.i.y. thread 4 this install?

 

You can restore your paint yourself with some effort. You're looking at an entire day to bring it back to life, and then you have to wax it, a few times even. Its WELL worth the effort. I did it using 3M polishing compound. Took my tafetta white from pearl white back to ACTUAL tafetta white. Also makes your paint as smooth as it was from factory. You MUST MUST MUST wax it GOOD or else you're just hurting your car. I'll send you a link to the wing. AFTER you restore and wax your paint (which i highly recommend), take the wing to a good body shop and they'll match it.

3. wash again
4. polish
5. seal
6. wax

then use some quik detailer to keep the paint looking freshly waxed.
