A little much for a daily driver though... My buddy has his g35 running straight pipe and it sounds like garbage when you are just driving in the city and unbearably loud garbage when accelerating.

Leave your mufflers on your daily drivers kids.

its fun for playing but not something you would ever consider having as a daily driver. Plus in most cities you would be harassed in no time by the police.

thats why i like the comptech mufflers, 1 min and i can pull the quiet tip insert out leave it the way it is or put the "loud tip inserts"- basically straight pipe that allows the exhaust to be un-muffled) and put the little screw in for loud and obnoxious fun.

thats not straight pipe.
straight pipe is just pipe with nothing in between
no mufflers, no resonator no cat

if you want straight pipe go for a 3 inch, or maybe a bit under

these would be pipes running down from your headers to the back of the car.
the shorter u make them, louder it will be. longer, more backfire

straight pipe is NOTHING IN BETWEEN from headers to tips.

a modified straight pipe would be one with some type of muffler

for example. my upcoming project
straight pipes. from headers straight into a single cherry bomb glasspack. (its a midmuffler piece. perfect bolt on)
from there EVEN split into two pipes. unlike a stock TL y split that is not even, its towards the right.
from there straight 3 inch piping into flowmasters.

this would be considered straight pipe, but really isnt. there is no cat, but there are mufflers. it will be a loud ass bitch with shitload of compression. backfire rumbles here i come

Your car would look 100x better with 02-03 tail light. Nice sound though.

thank you for the diagram tegkid
like i said, im experimenting with stuff. and ima have a mid muffler cherry bomb from headers into straight pipe. so...im not really loosing pressure, actually adding pressure. glasspacks have a lot of compression
