I had a few pulling tractor cams made from stock ones. crower was pretty well known for custom cam work.

I have already developed a set of cams. I am just waiting on dyno #'s from CleanCL. If you want you can contact me and we can discuss some info. I can get you a set and you can be the guinea pig. PM me.

does this mean u might have to reprogram the ECU? ... isn't Vtec dependent on the specific cam used? i could be totally wrong...

I think it will handle it just fine. But it wouldnt hurt to get something like the E-Manage, or apexi and dyno tune it

The cams wouldnt be that much more aggressive, so i wouldnt worry about it ( the VTEC lobe already is is an aggressive cam lobe so its ready for it). All you would be doing is slightly changing the duration.

so if the vtec lobe is already aggressive enough what is the purpose of getting the cam? when accelerating exept for the launch the car stays in vtec anyways...please explain for me

What your going to be doing with this is changing the duration. I didnt say the cam was aggressive enough, i was replying to your question of whether or not the valve springs were aggressive enough.
Changing the duration if there is enough clearance could yield some more hp in different areas?? All there is is speculation UNTIL some are made and dynoed.

I say good idea if its not your daily driver and your good with valvetrain.

Bad idea if your looking for time/$$ vs HP

Get a piggyback fuel controller and dyno tune it.

It all depends on the HP/dollar value

Didn't you in the first post say you wanted cams? CleanCL has the cams I have made for the CL/TL. I contacted him for you. The fact of the matter though is though you are going to have to do some work. These have not been test fitted yet. And there are no dynos on it. You would have to have a good shop install these cams. They would have to test fitment, check for clearances, etc. You shouldn't have a problem at all with the valvetrain but that w ould all have to be checked. You would also have to get pre and post dynos. That would be absolutely necessary.

yes i understand this...i was going to install it at acura but i dunno...this is my plan....find a used head and send it to king to get a full head job including valves, springs, and retainers...i am going to send a cam along with the head so they can build the head around the cam...i want the cam to be aggressive so it will probably have to have a built head to be strong enough to hold the cam...im not spending $1000 dollars on something i dont even know works in the first place...i would rather have someone well known as king to do the work for me...i know i will at least get 20whp out of a built head and cam...

hmm im not sure 20whp is worth that much IMO. considering cams for other cars are lower priced than 2000. Id prolly end up till someone floods the market and the price goes down lol
