Curbed stockies --> gunmetal stockies

So I order a gunemtal wheel paint kit from rimpainter.com for my scratched up stock wheels on my 99 TL. I'm really impressed by how they came out, especially for the work of a 18 year old. five and a half hours later and i've only finished 2 so far. i'll post final pics of the wheels on the car tomorrow, i'll leave you with these for now:

i thought the caps would look out of place since they're silver. i was gonna see if i could get some Acura A's to stick on mine or maybe the center caps from 3G Type-S wheel would fit and it's gunmetal too

rimpainter.com sells kits for $90. i took out a few things so it came out to $70. it woulda been about the same if i had purchased it all from Amazon. but this way i get customer service

and unfortunately the wheels came out having a rough texture so i'm in contact with rimpainter, they have some seriously quick customer service. so hopefully they'll come out glossy like the shiftgate

You're a 99, the chrome is underneath the paint you just put on.

there are some places around the lip that the old curb rash can still be felt. but other than that, the wheels are in much much better condition than they were before i painted

Did you sanded the rims to bare metal?

I'm using this video to paint my rims.

i wouldn't say I did it down to the bare metal. it was more of a rough scuffing to remove the finish from the wheels
