cleaning filter on AEM v2 intake

hey guys, a couple months ago i bought my first performance part the aem v2 cold air intake..which think is a great starter part for a noob (me) i did my research on it 'n stuff and it says that the filter does need to be changed...just cleaned with a special product.

im just curious WHEN am i supposed to clean it...id say id had it for...over 5 months maybe i cant exactly remember.

and how do i clean it? i can barely get to the filter to see if its dirty or not.

Its probably the AEM Dry Flow Filter, not a K&N. Cleaning is recommended every 10,000 miles according to AEM. It also depends on the driving conditions, if you drive in very dusty areas, you would probably have to clean it a little before that.

You can purchase the filter cleaning kit at www.aempower.com
