Chrome B pillar trim

I'm contemplating on purchasing a chrome B pillar trim kit for my 03 tls. I know chrome accenting is not for everyone but it's just a consideration at this point. I also know chrome accenting doesn't always work with every color(by the way my tls is nighthawk black). Just looking for some opinions and/or suggestions to how some experienced customizers would think this could offset my car.

P.S. The only exterior mod I have at this point are 20% tint and 20in chrome wheels.

You have a black car with 20'' chrome wheels, the chrome pillars will just add to the current look. I say, go for it.

I don't think it will work on your TL. It only really works on cars that have thick chrome trim surrounding the side windows in general. It appears to be thin on the 2G TL's.

, but yeah i also got NBP and i actually want to get rid of some of the chrome on mine (still keep some, but not all, no f***ing shop can strip chrome from plastic , so the paint won't chip in due time)

Lol, no doubt that they look Mexican, and i wouldn't put it on my car. However when you are running on chrome 20's you can pull off chrome pillars (IMO). Ive seen other members do it, and some have actually achieved a nice look.

Anyone ever recondition their pillars? Flat black paint, or maybe a high-gloss would work.

Some of the chrome around my rear windows has faded. I would like to repaint that back to original chrome.

had mine painted NBP (same as the rest of the car), and looks good (was painted at the same time as my fender, so got a deal on it)

You can for sure pull it off! with the tint it looks great. My car is set up similar to yours, black on black with dark tint and the chrome looks great. Its a little heavy so you gram counters will hate on the extra pound or two. Painting your pillars to match your car would be ideal and probably look best, but like said before, if you already have chrome elsewhere on your car it will look great.
