chips

i was considering buying a chip off ebay, they claim to add 50-150 hp but i know that is complete crap. i was wondering if anyone has chipped their tl or if i should even do it?

there are not any "chips" that work, people have only had luck with stand alone ecu's. correct me if i am wrong.

dont buy that.

i dont know why we have to take cracks at Lay's potato chips.

i think they are delicous and go great with a sandwich on sunday afternoons..

Apexi makes a universal computer that works...
Apexi Neo AFC... Have it, works great!
Lives where the cup holders used to be...

It controls stuff like air/fuel (in its name), vtec in/out, monitoring, proformance graph logging, and the tool ive actually used the most, the batery guage - long story.

Well I'm sure it has some pretty gauges but unless you are highly modified (read F/I) it doesn't do a damn thing to help performance.

I have the APEXI VAFC and other than looking really cool molded into the sunglass holder, it doesn't do much).

Or dyno tuned. That and the stock ecu overrides every thing we can do

Its true that the ecu will de-tune the Neo's adjustments over time?
I heard that pulling the battery and hitting the break pedal and or resetting the ecu compensates for this.

??
