Hey Acurazine, I was just wondering if anyone can recommend me some kind of cheap exhausts that only will give off good sound for my 2003 Type-S and still will look nice on the car. I don't really care about performance since I do not race on the streets.
Thanks !
Thanks !

Yeah the atlp exhaust sounds amazing but it's 1000$. If you want to get something cheap I say go with the Tsudo sp axle back mufflers. I think they are ~250$ and take no more than 30 mins to change.

OP if you just want a different sound, buy some Magnaflow Mufflers at your local Parts stores and have an exhaust shop weld them to your stock piping.
they are generally inexpensive and you can go on youtube and listen to several sound clips of J-Series motors with different model numbers with a bit of searching...
a few members have ran straight pipes before as well, just eliminating the mufflers all together and it didnt sound too bad if i remember right.
good luck with it.
and he already mentioned not caring about performance.... therefor buying parts that are known for their quality in the performance department was a moot suggestion.

here is an example of a magnaflow setup... this may be a full catback, but like mentioned earlier, you can get a shop to custom build the piping, buy the mufflers, and still come out hundreds cheaper than buying a pre-built system.
be sure to post a video once you've got it on![Thumbs Up](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)

straight pipes= nahh cuz they let out alot of residue and get the car dirty in the back easily .
I think i will go with just buying cheap exhaust and getting it welded to original set up.

Tsudo axle back is your best bet and least hassle. Who knows what you'll get at an exhaust shop. Will they really take the time to make it perfect how you'd like it AND not charge an arm and a leg?? I paid 279.00 with free shipping from speed element.com they guarantee lowest prices on tsudo products. They look great and sound nice. You can go to the exhaust shop and give 50 bucks and they will cut out the middle muffler if they don't sound loud enough for you. Here's how they'll look:

Sorry if the pic is huge and douche-y I use iPhone for everything and don't have my pic editor right now.

I have the HKS style knockoffs and they sound nice and deep. They don't sound ricey because I still have my resonator and mid-muffler. The quality actually is pretty good too.
Still haven't been successful in recording a sound clip though. I tried a few times but my mic just doesn't pick up the sound right.

i like my Tsudo axleback with mid-muff delete. $290 for Tsudo and $80 for mid-muff delete. i say that's best way to do it--unless you wanna just buy a cheap chrome muffler and get a shop to do you piping for around $250 total
here's before mid muffler

and after mid-muffler delete
