Question change color of the marble panels?

How do u change the color of the marble panels along the doors and dash? I heard someone say they took it to shop to get painted, can i do that because i dont wanna put that vinyl on top of the marble, it looks to bulky.

are you talking about the woodgrain trim? you can either buy the part from a dealer site or go to a junk yard

Exactly what he said, sand/scuff it then paint it.

Dont take this wrong, I dont want to sound like an ass but if you need a diy to paint you maybe shouldnt be attempting it.

It is that simple, sand them, clean them, prime them, paint them. If you have the wood look around your inst cluster, that is a stick on panel. Peel that off and paint the trim. The pieces on the door dont come off easy. You have to either take your time taping the door panel really good or take the time to drill out the plastic rivets on the back side of the door panel to get the trim off

lol haha but yeh man its simple! easiest way is just taking the panel off and then working from ther. i think it the wood trim is just screwed in with phillips screws f im wrong? or like he said its just rivited take them out the the wood trim shuld just come out then scuff it with a gray scotch pa so you hide the scratches they are not to deep but deep enough so paint will stick. after you sand the trim prime it, but use an adhesion for the material like plastic adhesion then prime it, after primer sand it down smooth with a nice fine grit EX. 600-800 after that clean it up again and thennnnnnnnnnn you can paint it

no, it is pried off with a flathead or long fingernails, nothing really fastens it down.

If I remember correctly it's melted plastic behind the panel. Use a drill to drill out the melted part. I believe there is something in diy.

Thats the black wood interior, you can get the center console pieces easily the doors are a whole other story nobody wants to sell the panel off the door you would have to buy the door as a whole piece and its pricey just to get the panel...if you live near someone maybe you can trade if they would like.

The nicest looking one is the aspec panels that aluminum/stainless steel looks sweet
