Cat question

I have a 3rd cat from my 08 TL-S doing nothing in my garage. Would it be a be a good idea to use it as a high flow cat on my gf 2002 TL? Will we get bad smells out of it?

Thanks for your time!

If it bolts on, it would be fine I imagine. However, it all depends on the fitment.

The gains would be minimal though.

The flanges are starting to get thin because of the rust on them...so they will die soon and the cat will need to be change... I'm sure some welding will need to be done to fit the type S cat...

I guess if your old cat has failed and you have no desire to spend on a new one try it, but as a performance mod it wouldn't be very effective.
