CAI difference to K&N
CAI difference to K&N
I have a drop in K&N air filter with the airbox all gutted out so it breathes alot, but should I get a CAI instead. The reason why im asking is because here in FL during the day to night is a huge difference in performance because of the temperature difference. Last night in high 60's temp. from a dead stop I roast all the way through first gear no matter what road im on. Now in the day its in the high 80's my car only spins up to 3500 then dead hooks, but you can feel the torque differences on how sluggish it is during the day. Anyways will a CAI help me at all to regain some power back during the day?
CAI ftw. I had the same setup as you with the resonator removed and k&n filter, but it just wasn't doing it for me, so I bought the AEM V2 lots of growl and you can actually feel the power on vtec.
I had that setup, and the humming drove me nuts. My butt dyno didn't feel any difference either. When I switched over to the INJEN CAI, I noticed a small increase. CAI is a definate improvement.
Cooler air, more direct flow.
