Bypass module on Type S conversion

I am working on a conversion of an 03 Premium to Type S and have installed the new manifold, throttle body and IMRC but do not have the wiring for the bypass module. I understand that the type S wiring harness would plug right in but I am not going to go to the trouble of installing a new harness.

My question is does anyone which pins on the module go the rpm sensor, power source and the IMRC? Sure would appreciate any help on this...

Do you have a rpm switch to activate it?

Yes we have the RPM Switch. It would appear that the RPM Switch, IMRC and Power Lead connects to the Bypass Module..

Forget the word bypass. There is no bypass.

But by bypass module, Are you talking about the actual IMRC module that goes under the dash?

Yes that is it. The person who sold me the unit called it a bypass module. IMRC Module is more accurate. I figured it went under the dash. Is it near the fuel pump relay??

What I am trying to do is ascertain which pins in the IMRC module to to where so I can wire it up. The rest of the car is done and eager to run....

IIRC you don't need the IMRC module. Just the RPM switch and the actuator. The RPM switch is essentially doing the job of the IMRC module.

nevertheless here's a quick pinout

AC...So what you are saying here is that I can wire the RPM switch directly to the IMRC??

Yes. No need to plug it into anything else as the RPM switch is telling the IMRC to open at a certain threshold.

I know I'm not practicing what I preach because I haven't done it yet myself but I gotta get caught up on finances before I go buying an RPM switch.

are you wiring up the IRMC on a non type-s?

follow this

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-cl-frequently-asked-questions-52/type-s-intake-manifold-cl-p-discussion-thread-486697/

I did that, for some reason it didn't work for mine but it was probably due to a ground issue or something.... didn't get to finish it and just parted ways with it.

AC...How did you hear that the RPM switch engages the IMRC? I do have a RPM switch plug in the engine bay that was factory installed even though it is a premium model. The question is how does it install on to the IMRC and how is it powered up utilizing the factory plugs...

All I know is what is posted up in the thread that Josh linked. That should have all your answers. If you're still having problems after I install one on mine, I'd love to help you.

I was trying to go with the stock module since I paid $60 for it. No luck in finding which wires go to which pin and the wiring diagram referenced above really doesn't tell me what I need to know. I hate to spend another $140 on a MSD window switch but I may have no choice.

I will advise on completion so others on this site will have another heads up if they try the conversion.

Should be every thing you need as far as wiring. There are only the 5 wires that go into the IMRC. As long as you have the type-s ecu to get the trigger from you should be set. If you need to know what A13 (lt-blue) pin is on the ECU harness let me know, ill look it up.
