it happens because of broken engine mounts, that causes excessive engine movement.

Lol, poeple are not "blowing" a hole in them. As mentioned it is from twising caused by engine movement. Stiffer mounts or an engine torque damper would help prevent it.

Usually AEM will warranty cracks that happen near welded parts. We've gotten them warrantied before.

This is also a slight problem with the MDX 3.5 mani spacer.
I sold my AEM and got a used Injen and never had that problem again, but cant explain why the Injen didn't do it also..

Probably just the angle and design of the bracket. I think the AEM V2 is a better kit than either the CAI or Injen, but the Injen is certainly a viable alterative. I think you found a PRO for it right there!

that's why i just got an injen cai in the first place. knew this would be a common problem and didnt wanna bother with it happening to me. but i would definitely get the v2 if they made it for the type s, but nope!

well thats the most stupidest reason i ever heard to purchase a cai. well aem v2 is different than the other traditional cai because it has 2 chambers in the pipe, one chamber for low end hp and the other chamber for high end hp so you basically low and high end hp with this intake. claims 16-18 hp.

The AEMs break the mount off because the motor is moving too much. Replace your motor mounts. Also the AEM breaks and the Injen doesnt just simply due to where the mount is located Its not that injen is better, its they got lucky with mount position. I was ripping holes in my steel cai i made once my mount went bad. Once i fixed the mount no more problems.
