Borla/Flowmaster Exhuast for TL

im in the market for a new exhuast system, if not just a few mods to it. Anyone know if Borla/Flowmaster/Magnaflow have bolt on mufflers for the rear section? and what is the stock exhaust diameter? I need ideas, i previously owned a Lexus LS with a flowmaster exhaust and cannot stand anything close to the stock acura/honda soundno offense. I want to achieve a standable yet respectable exhaust tone for my '03 TL-S.

I have called borla and I wanted to go with a 2 1/2 pipe all they have is universal off set for 120 or strait through type R for over 200 per muffler.

None of them make a direct bolt on. Every thing will have to be custom done.

go with magnaflow's, they sound great and are reasonably priced. Also easy to find. Get custom bent 2.5" piping from the cat to your resonator, which I'd recommend getting a magnaflow resonator as well and then from the resonator back to the Y-pipe, which I'd also get a magnaflow one.

So get 2 muff's, 1 resonator, 1 y-pipe and then go to an exhaust shop and have them custom bend some 2.5" piping to piece it all together. That cost me $200.00 plus cost for the maganflow stuiff which was $250.00. Total was $450.00 for a nice setup.

I agree if you have a truck or suv I would surely put some magnaflow or borlas on but for an acura? Thats rediculous lmao. Go with apexi or comptech

steriotype much? haha a good amount of members have put magnaflow's on their cars here and they sound nice especially if you want to save your cash for other mods instead of spending a ton on an exhaust which doesn't produce that much extra power on our cars. If you have the cash ATLP ftw. Sounds and looks amazing. JRTL you may want to research a little more before making a comment...

lmao Yea I have a custom Magnaflow setup & it sounds mean. Veyr deep & aggressive. They just arent meant for V8s. They actually make a bolt on catback which does fit our cars. Some modification is needed though. Pizaul had it on his TLP.

I think it was a cat-back for the Accord, which needs to be slightly modified for the TL. In any case, I've heard Pizaul's Magnaflow setup and it sounds amazing.

On the other hand The tlp sounds great the way it is with mid muffler cut off, and intake. Let me know on price and ill tell you my "true" opinion if thats what you want... Damn northerners.lol jk

Yep his really sounds nice, mine is deeper though since I got race mufflers (2.5" str8 through) & 2.5" piping

2.5" from cat and from where Y split is.. 2.25" and mufflers.

i'd do all straight pipe.. see how you like the sound first.. let it break in and stuff.. and then decide if you want a resonator or not..

just my opinion

^^^ Its just bending and welding pip which avearged about $70/hour. Take into account 3 hours worth of bending & welding & materials & wallah, $200 for a custom exhaust. Gota buy your own muffs of course.

The $238 was the total price of mine actually, including mufflers. And it took the shop just under 2 hours to do it.
