Can you cut this piece out and weld the tip closer to the muffler?

Tsudo axleback

I just installed these on my 02 S. They look decent and the sound is similar to the 350Z & G35. They aren't Apexi WSIIs or Comptechs, but worth the $233.00 shipped. I had to bend some of the hanger brackets slightly to make them fit "perfectly" but the install was easy and a direct bolt on application. There is a little interior noise drone, but not too bad, and I just turn up the tunes a couple of notches if I don't want to hear it.

I also changed my oil and installed new Akebono front brake pads, and everything was done in about an hour and a half.

Like a kid with a new toy, I'm wanting to go drive my car instead of being in the office!

^ Congratulations. Im really contemplating if i should get these, the only thing thats stopping me is the fact that it sticks out of the rear bumper too much.

Just have them shorten it at a welding place, shouldn't cost you more than $30 bucks.

Like the tone but contemplating removing the mid muffler and replacing it with like a magnaflow just to see how it would sound. Anyone have any input on that idea? I've put just over 500 miles on them so they should be broken in by now.
