would the atlp exhaust fit an 01' cls? im thinking it would be a direct fit but it would just be a little longer and need to to be cut down an inch or two. could you tl guys let me know. also how much better is the atlp exhaust, is it that much better than comptech?

well its been talked about a little i figured id see if you guys knew. but im thinking the b-pipe would just need to be cut down a little. 2 other questions would the exhaust sound exactly how it does on the 3rd gen tl cause it sounds great. lastly is there any pics of it on a 2nd gen tl so i could get an idea of what the exhuast will look like?

thats the kind of review i was hoping to hear. the reason im asking all these questions about it is because i just got my supercharger installed so im looking for a good exhaust to go with it. i currently have hks axlebacks and i was going to buy this guys catback piping minus the mufflers and bolt them to my hks mufflers (i really like my hks mufflers i didnt want the comptech muffs). but it seems the atlp is the best exhaust option for acuras. any other reviews?

heres a vid with the atlp with my high flow cat i jus got from excelerate.. 2.5" prolly the best combo sound and performance wise... and most of your mods minus my pulley which is still sittin in the box waiting to get put on and the supercharger....

The ATLP exhausts have 2.5" piping to 2 2.25" piping before the mufflers. The stock headers and cat are narrower than 2.5" so it'll bottle neck. If you get 2.5" headers and high flow cat, you'll be putting the exhausts to optimal use.

Yea since you already have headers and if you got this catback... The exhaust gases wwould be flowing from the 2.5" collector on the headers to a 2.25" cat back out to a 2.5" exhaust so the cat is restricting the airflow.... especially with your supercharger you'd see an awesome performance gain from a 2.5" high flow cat or test pipe

The air going in is dense with oxygen and is cold. The air going out is hot and has a different composition. Additionally, the intake air has a lot shorter distance to travel than the exhaust gas.
3" in does certainly not mean 3" out is ideal!
That's kind of a simplified response but ya, 3" exhaust would definitely be reserved for turbo cars.
