Question Any second gen TLers with Supercharger

Are there any second gen guys with a superchager in your cars. I would really like to know what kind of difference you've felt with it in. I would LOVE a video if you guys who have it have a video. I'm just curious to see what it sounds like and how much you gain from the 4k or so you put in to this thing.

Thanks guys.

hard to explain but you get a complete powerband with that modification. check the cl forums as there is quite a few of them that have the comptech supercharger. It's pricey but its a good mod and you keep the stock look and driveability. Good luck.

Unfortunately CT's TL-S S/C will not fit the 99-03 TL-P. But people have made it fit. I remember seeing a thread on AW where a guy with either a 99, 00, or 01 put it in. I talked to Comptech a long while ago and they said they had heard reports of guys with TL-P's using the CT Honda Accord V6 S/C on their cars. Of course CT's warranty is null and void when this happens.

honestly man, check the cl forums...they will be handle to assist more regarding it. More of them have the supercharger. I'm putting down more whp then the a type s with supercharger and I haven't had any transmission but keep in mind, the harder you drive the more stress you put on the transmission and also our transmissions are terrible to begin with.

maybe ...I already have one of those too.

But still with the manual transmission there will be more traction problems. Good and bad side to everything.

this will speed up the failure rate of the stock tranny, but either way, if it's gonna go it will go. that's more or less the nature of the 3rd gear clutch issue. it's inevitable the tranny will fail from heat degradation due to the extra power, but the other side of the coin is that this is a known issue and i bet some of the cl guys managed to get their trannies replaced under warranty regardless. there's also the hope that the dr. evil tranny will hold up, but we have yet to see.

but like blk2001tlon19s said, hop on over to the cl section and poke around. this has been hashed up for a while and it's quite clear now what the gains and drawbacks are. and yes, the av6 charger has been used in the tl-p's before. the main reason the av6 charger doesn't really fit in the tl is because of the vsa throttle body the type-s has, which isn't an issue for the tl-p as we allready know.

if you call comptech and tell them you want to use a type-s supercharger or av6 supercharger in a tl-p they may honor the warranty by modifying the kit for you. they want to make money off of you. i don't think it will be an issue.
