AEM V2 intake

Ok, so I can get a brand new AEM V2 intake for $125. I have searched and found that it will not fit on my 03 tl-s. I have also seen people modify it to fit. My question is, what modifications where needed to make it fit? Thanks alot!

you will need a larger coupler to connect to the throttle body, that should be it. The AEM v2 pipe is smaller in diameter than the TLS throttle body, that's why it is not meant for the S.

You may also have to cut the pipe a few inches, but i'm not sure on that.

SO not a big deal then? You just have to cut down the pipe that connects to the throttle body with the coupler right? For 125 it seems kinda worth it.

^ none. It's made for the TL-P and that's what you have.

I wanted to get one for my TL-S because it seemed like it had a deeper sound then the normal intake. But as another member brought up wouldn't the step down to the smaller pipe restrict air coming in?

Oh no. the whole point of using cold air intake is to allow the cold air to go to the engine while compressing them. When the air is cold and dense, that's when you're getting the best air. In fact, the pipe is actually bigger than the stock instake. If you take off the stock instake, you'll see that it goes through a rollercoaster before going to the engine. They want the air to go through the resonator to diminish the sound, so for those regular drivers, they wont' have to listen the cool sound of the intake

but of course, that's a different story for us.

I love the CAI on my 00 TL-P
