People seem to like the Injen one better, but i went with AEM. I think that in the end, they're going to end up putting out the same output anyway. AEM is cheaper to get. I got an 03 TL-S by the way. It's going through a 6 speed swap right now.

I have the Injen pipe with an AEM dryflow filter. It really doesn't matter which one you get.

I have the Injen RD CAI and love it. I put on the hydro filter to help with keeping out the water. I also bought the shield but didn't install it yet. Haven't had any problems yet with the water. It says you have to remove the bumper to get at the lower part of the install........Huuuuuuey I just loosened the lower corner (4 plastic plugs) and pulled the bumper away so I could get my hands in there. What a difference in sound and performance. That was my first mod that I started with.

i'm a huge fan of AEM and have used nothing else. make sure you get the dryflow filter. it's WAAAYYY better.

fyi, you can't get the aem v2 if you have a tl-s. the throttle body is a diff size.

i would have said neither, but you've already wasted your money on it . best thing would have been to, remove the intake resonator, then the whole bottom half of the intake assembly then punch a couple holes in the outsides of your air filter and just use some chicken wire or something to hold it on to the upper part of the intake "box".

The reason i'm posting is cuz i'm in the military and my car is back home, so i cant get under the hood and see what my setup is like. I dont know if the full ram air application will work for my year. i've never taken the air box out to see if i have the hole underneath that leads into the bumper. What i keep finding is the short ram air for 1999. All advertisements for full ram air say modle years 02-03. Idealy I'd like to have this guys set up http://wizardsworks.org/chod/acura/cai/printme.html

This set up will work with your car. No need for the bypass valve waste of money. If your really worried get an injen pre-filter, it's a water repelant cover for your filter. called hydroshield good luck

yea i wasnt gonna bother. i'm not worried about hydrolock. and i like aem's intakes they worked well for me in my other honda's. I've just been a little hesitent to buy it because aem doesnt mention 1999's in their fitment chart and it seems that the 99's have little differences here and there from the other years of second gen. but if you guys say the ram air will work for my 99 thats good enough for me. i'll order it this evening.
