AEM CAi - Installed

Last night Aaron and I ( 99.5% Aaron ) installed my AEM CAi intake. I love the sound and it pulls so much better in second and third. I took pics of the destruction I'll post them later, but it was funny looking at my baby in pieces. All that useless plastic Acura uses when they can just install a tube..

Could you imagine the outrage if a CAI was standard equipment on a TL. Consider the demographic for this car (no it's not sub-30 year olds)

"What, I have to clean the filter every few thousand miles?"
"What, I have to be careful driving through puddles?"
"OMG the engine is so noisy when I step on the gas"

That is exactly why I do not have one. The Comptech Cat- Back makes all the noise I need. I personally like the engine nice and quite up front and inside the cabin and a low tone in the rear. That is just me.......I'm 30+

the stock intake is not that bad compared to a lot of other cars. it is still big, heavy and a waste of space. A CAI really makes a big difference. have fun with it.

40+ here. The noise is minimal compared to the benefits. Hopefully I will be able to show you in June.

If I do break down and get one it will be the Comptech unit. From what I can read on this site they seem to be the most quite. I'm also looking into getting a winter beater for next year. If I do then the CAI might just happen next. I thought the exhaust would be my last mod but once you think your finished you find something else you want. I fear that I might never stop this madness. I'm also looking into a Comptech header. It's good and bad to have an account with Comptech.

Yes I do. I'm a Honda Parts Manager and I have an account with Comptech. I can sell it for less then they advertise but I cannot post or quote those prices. I would need to be contacted at 1osunut@sbcglobal.net if you need anything.

I originally wanted the Icebox because it is quiter and more stock looking, but I got a deal on this and had to jump on it. You would love it though once you hear it and when you turn the car off and hear the psss..You would think you have turbo or something in it
