6 speed engine swap

what does it do? because the stats on the cls and the tls they both have the same horse power even though the cls has 6 speend and tls has 5 speed

engine swap to type-s and a 6 speed MANUAL tranny. thats what it does.

You wouldnt do a 6 speed engine swap. The motors sensors arent compatible with the auto tranny wiring

6 speed tranny swap. There is no difference in power in the CL-S and TL-S motor.

if theres no difference whats the point in doing it to make it manual? cause the tls is already manual dunno why you would get cls manual

The 99-03 TL never came with a manual transmission. It has Sportshift, but its completely different. And fsttyms1 did the motor too, because his TL is not a Type-S. So he put in the Type-S motor and CL-S 6 speed tranny.

That and the manual trans allows 20 or so more hp to the wheels.

20hp to the wheels? damn man thats alot of lost hp from this weak ass tranny then.

Autos suck up ALOT of power. Alot is lost in the torque converter. Not to mention the 200 lbs more that the auto trans weighs ovre teh manual.

yea man hes right, i could lift that manual trans my self and transport it around, but the auto.... gotta be like 2 times as heavy.

Also, the 6MT is A LOT more reliable than the 5spd auto.
