Can anyone recommend a site to buy a transmission for my 2000 Acura TL? Or does anyone have this part for sale?

Sorry to tell you there are very few available good used TL trans just sitting around, junkyard units always an unknown history and risk..just likely to need a rebuild!

your best bet is a local rebuilder = with experience in our trans
not `big brand name` shops,, who are forced by corp to cut corners and overcharge up to 3500!!
the dealer barely gets more than that at full retail for a rebuilt unit to swap in -and comes in the new design case with better oil flow to the weak parts that failed..plus comes with 3/36 acura warranty!

2000-2500$ is average rebuild local price
all depends on internal parts condition, which cannot be determined until trans is taken all the way apart- cleaned, inspect and measure critical parts, replace them along with the standard rebuild kit etc

Less costly options for the DIY person:
there are many good used units from Honda Accord and Oddessy, both are ~fairly~ bolt up units
Minor mod to ps hose or something may be needed (just read on here of accord trans and ps hose mod needed, guy spent 800? on used trans and it fits and works in the TL!!
Those are both proven better than the TL design..as if the honda division kept things simple

had the recall install oil jet kit?
trans replaced before under warranty (will have blue paint on bolt heads for things attached to top of trans- cant miss them)

I can tell you from experience DO NOT GO to AmericanTranz a company in Arizona.1515 to the door S&H included seemed like a good price.I was promised the trans 15 days after the payment was accepted it took them almost three months to ship it.I asked for a refund a month and a half into it so I could take my money else where.I was told that the company had no money because their accounts were frozen due to unpaid taxes.Long story short I got it works well but they are not on top of their game.Good luck with the Trans.

I sold my wife's 200TL in 2009 w 103K because I did not want to face Trans or Time Belt replacements.
I would go new car but if you must keep it ... rebuild it with shop w experience or DIY.
The existing FM value of a 2000 TL is less than a good trans + labor would cost you.
