Has anyone installed a 2000 to 2003 bumper on a 1999 TL? The 99 did not come with a fog light option. The manufacturer offered a fog light option after 99 and altered fog light compartment on the bumper. As a result, there is no fog light made to fit the 99 TL (that I am aware of). I have considered purchasing aftermarket round HID fog lights and trying to figure out how to cut a hole and fabricate a bracket, etc. But, I thought I'd see if anyone else has gone down this round before I proceed. I appreciate any input. Thanks.

 

I think fog lights didn't start until 02-03 models. I have 01 and there's no fog lights. There's the area where they could be installed to if you were to cut the bumper. I think retro fitting this way would be easier as swapping the 02-03 bumper involves the bumper, fenders, hood, headlights, modifying radiator support, etc. While very do-able if you're willing, I think it's a bit much just to get fogs. Instead cut your bumper and fit them in, it's been done before and I'm sure there's threads for it.

 

99-01 did NOT come with foglights. 02-03 DID. The 02-03 bumper is not compatible with the fenders, headlights, hood and other misc things on the 99-01. You need to swap over the things i listed to get the bumper to work. Install Accord or Civic fogs. There are DIYs in the diy thread.

 

Thanks Fellas. I figured the swap would not work, but was worth asking. I'll poke around the DIY threads to see what I can come up with.
