'00 tl projector project?

So i have spent a good week searching this site about projectors on the '00 TL. I saw JNC's post on them but pics were gone. Anyway, I want to do this mod since im getting a time off school and would wana make it a great project. I know my TL is almost 10 years old but I still love the way the 2nd gen looks.

So my plan was:
- '00 TL headlight blacked out since i have NBP and mugen grille soon then do projector lamps. The only thing thats kinda setting me back is the diameter i wana use. Since the 99-01 TL have a straight edge (not rounded like the 02-03 fits rounded lamps/angel eyes nicely) Ive been thinking of a bigger lamp, either from a X5 or fx45. I also want to do switchbacks and take the orange reflector our. As for the high beams i thought of doing projector but not to sure if it will overkill the design. I have seen CL lights with projectors and I do like the concept.

SOOOO.... i need opinions since i have the concept part down but need to do all my research on the electrical aspect of it. I will buy an extra pair of headlights to be sure not to mess this up . Ill try to photoshop pics of what i might want to do just to get an aspect of how this project might look. Thanks AZ

its pretty ez just takes a large amount of time so its good you are buying an extra set of headlights. But it took me a long time to get the alignment right on the beam. If you dont have a dremel I suggest buying one, it will be your best friend throughout the project. In terms of the electrical, I sold my oem him parts and went with aftermarket, no problems after a year. I'm running tsx projectors on a '02 TL btw

Hey fobstyle, can any projector be used on this project? I mean can anyone from any car. I was looking at Lex and maybe a BMW one and put e46 shrouds. As for the comment above i figured leave the shrouds chrome but paint the housing like matte black. something really dull cuz i feel like the gloss coat mike take away from the projector... Any input guys? If someone has done this can you post pics?

I also have been thinking of doing this. I found and aftermarket projector for an accord, I will of course remove the halo part of it. Since the light diameter is pretty close to the tl's Im hoping it will work out fairly well. I will have the shroud and the projector.

If that dude is from canada then maybe. If you watch the video in full size it kinda look like the plate says Ontario on it.
