Your Thoughts On What To Do
So after days on figuring out what i wanted to do to the car which was cusco strut bar along with the lower bar too. Today i went to my mechanic and asked him on a price, and if its easy enough to do it on my own. He open the hood to show me and noticed that there was a strut bar on it, and told me that the oem one was pretty good. Now my question is whats the difference and if i should even change it out.

Some are addons that are to be used with the factory bar. Any that replace it i wouldnt use as the factory bar is a great bar since its a multi point bar.(attaches to the strut tower and the firewall)

Yes the OE bar is good- and a 2nd bar which mounts differently and is designed with different forces in mind- is an upgrade and makes for stronger stiffer car
The TL has a bar stock- and the Cusco makes a solid addition to it
They are both total DIY projects taking just minutes.
Who are you gonna trust- your guy or thousands of ziners??
Thats like saying because your car has sway bar stock- that biger bars are not needed
and same with brakes- OE must be fine right? Not a chance

The Cusco works in conjunction w/ OEM bar. Other ones on the market replace the OEM bar, which IMO, is stupid since the OEM is a 4 point bar. (strut to strut. and 2 pts to the firewall...)
Unbolt 6 bolts, put the bar on, put the 6 new bolts on. Takes all of 5 minutes. And you'll feel a difference.
As for the lower bar, not so much.

The non adjustable only fits certain models and has a slightly different mount
The other fits many cars so there is a little adjustment on length.
The lower bar does a lot more than may be felt in improvement-
it ties the frame rails together so the suspension has something to work from
There is a round bar and an oval shaped-see www.cusco.com for tech details,
either is fine for our car
Since Cusco makes a shipment from Japan and the 2 main usa distributors then send to local dealers like HeelToe- its all about what you can get now from their stock, or how long you are willing to wait for something else
