Yet another HID fog Q...
So this Philips kit that's for $400 that everyone's talking about...it comes in 9006 base. On my 02 TLS the halogen base on the fogs is 9006 I believe. So does that just mean I can stick the HID bulbs into my fog lenses...run all the cabling ballast etc...and be done? Is there any problem sticking in that type of bulb into the fog housing?

You are completely sure on that? Because I don't want to have an "oops it dun fit" type of situation...but if it fits...woohoo!

When I started a post last week about the same subject, I didn't find anyone who had actually made the conversion from halogen to HID. One thing I did learn from dealers of HID setup's was that the Phylips is not the best you can buy. Everyone sees the name and figures that they are the best. One of the problems is with the D2R bulbs. Wether you buy a H4 or a 9006 or? all the bulbs are the same. A company in tiawan sticks on the different bases depending on the application. Kinda look at the problem like a Mag Lite flash lite. You know how you can adjust the beam pattern by turning the hosing. What you are doing is adjusting the reflector in and out. The problem with using the same bulb in all the diiferent lights is that some of the time you are going to be out of focus. I think when this happens you end up blinding on-coming traffic. In conclusion, I found a company in No. Cal who sales a brand called "Hana". First of all the light output is higher than the D2R bulbs and their plug and play are engineered and focused better.

I really want to find someone who has made the swap and ask them questions
