i really like the look of small antennas, i dont know if this actually works but it looks neat. plus it would only be like $10 with shipping. the only thing im worried about is the paint... ur suggestions?

I was very happy to have the antenna worked into the rear window in this car. It was always a pain in the @ss to take it off and put it on every time I wanted to put the car cover on.

as for the antenna, I wouldn't call it a "rice" but definitely not something I would consider. The antenna in the glass is good enough and the antenna for the nav is one thing but to put one up for no reason, why bother?
But I guess to each its own. I know my friend has the Jetta and he wishes he didn't have that stupid antenna on top, even though he got the shorter one it's still there.

I'm sorry but I have to agree with NSXNEXT. If it was a functional antenna and you had it hooked up to a cell phone, satellite radio, etc. I'd be all for it. It has nothing to do with how it looks, it has to do with the fact that you are adding a nonfunctioning antenna without any purpose...

I wouldn't do it. If you ever take your car through a car wash it will probably fall off. Plus you have to glue it on and it could hurt the paint.

 

Nothing against this mod, but I just check out the shipping and it is like 9 bucks... so 9 bucks for the antenna and another 9 bucks for shipping! FVCK that!

This is something that i wanna get too. i am more leaning towards the one that are on the 3.5 something small unlike the Is300 . I think it would look real good . Forget the people that says it looks rice these are the same people sporting body kits i mean how does a body kit help you in getting reception ? but it makes the car look real good . Maybe its a matter of opinion if you got nothing nice to say about it then why not skip it instead of putting useless stuff. Now the favourite line " I got an opinion too and i am gonna say it ".. What does that antenna do for reception? The one badazztl is looking at is fake, it just sticks to the roof.

Oh and as for the the antenna on the RL and TL, they are for OnStar, not for the radio. Oh but you knew that.

Wait, you want to stick a fake antenna on so you can look like you have Onstar? That doesn't even look like the onstar antenna. You can do whatever you want bro, its your car, but if you want something like that, why don't you try finding those fin shape antenna you find on Bimmers. That would look better then this antenna. BadazzTL did you check the post where you asked about the blue tint side mirrors? I provided a pic showing you how it would look tinting it.

 

thanks for your suggestion, i like the Bmw fin too i checked it out along with the Merc s500 but i prefer the look of the small onstar antenna.


NsxNext: i think you just completely overlooked my point. I dont wanna show off like i have onstar or some cell phone gizmo that needs reception the only purpose was that i like the way it looks to me its not ricey. My point is simple the body kits dont do nothing for the car except enhancing the look in my opinion the antenna might make my car look good too.

as for the antenna, yea everyone has their own style, im just concerned about my paint, i guess i wont do it cuz i dont want my paint to get fawked...

 

fuba style is just for look with no function at all. but do u guys know that there are something called anti-shock antennas & which are fm japan. the purpose is to prevent shock when u open/close the door especially in winter. i put one of those on my 2002 tls & stick it on the exact same place where the 2003 navi on-star antenna is. to be honest & i'm happy with that.

 

Any link of this product? Might make a good xmas present for my fiancee because last winter I counted about 50 + times she got shocked touching any car.

 

I would only put it on if its functional. I love the 2003 with the antennas (sp?).

 

Get XM Radio and install the antenna, so at least it will be functional

 

couldn't find it online though. but u should able to find it if there's some shops around u selling jdm car accessories.
