Yellow Lexan for fog lens

What would you guys think of using Yellow Lexan to replace my fog light lens with?

My friend used it on his silver TransAm and it looks great for his turn signals. He has a sheet of the Lexan left over and I was thinking about doing it.

Do you think it would greatly cut back light output?

I would have done that, but one of my stock lenses has a hole in it that I sealed up, but still looks nasty.

They don't sell that rockblocker stuff anymore right?

check plastic specialty stores like TAP, they have films in many thickness and color,
plus plastic pieces to replace a lens if needed

For a meet- paint the brake calipers black, throw yellow film on fogs,, and have a nice time

no...sure wasn't referring to your car.

can you just remove the stock lens with heat from a hair dryer, or will you need to throw it in the oven?

If you want yellow, just open up the fogs and paint the inside with yellow stain glass paint. I learned about this trick this weekend and saw results and it looks good.

I'm planning on getting a set of the yellow tinted film soon.

correct me if i'm wrong but 3000K HID bulbs have a creamy white look to them when you look at them but when the light is put out on the street it's a bright yellow? (what my old ones looked like)
I really enjoy the brilliant orange/yellow look of my 2500k nokya (non-HID) bulbs and i want to achieve the same effect with a new set of HID's so i have that extra light output. What i'm wondering is this:

If i get new 3000K HID bulbs for my fogs (ballasts already in there from previous set) and then purchase some yellow rockblocker film will that correct that? or do they make 2500K HID bulbs that already give out that orange/yellow look? I'm just hesitant because i heard that HID bulbs can leave a burn mark on the rockblocker/lamin-x film and i also don't really like the look during the daytime with the orange film on there.

^thats what i'm sayin, its not a full yellow look with the 3000K's just the output is yellow like when it hits the street, if you look at the actual bulbs its not yellow like the 2500K nokya bulbs are, or like firepr2002's setup

Say WHAT? I like the look - gives some color to the front end.

output is yellow from certain angles without the yellow film, but by and large, you see white light until it hits / reflects off something.
